Seattle Package Design

shampoo tube Aurelian Design can help make your product stand out among the crowd with creative and recognizable package designs!

There are three elements to good packaging design:

Wine Label

Packaging design is similar to sign design. Just as you drive quickly by a business sign, you may walk quickly past hundreds of products on a store shelf. So the first job of a package is to draw attention to a product, specifically to its primary display panel, or PDP.

A new product must clearly say what it is. If a shopper has to guess, they will move on. Primary text should be legible and large to be read while passing by. A hierarchy is present to make it easy for the reader to see the most important information first.

Once a shopper concentrates on your product, the package must make the sale. This should be done forcefully, but honestly and efficiently. The product includes not only the ingredients themselves, but the quality, presentation, and other attributes. These can include environmental benefits (e. g., sustainable ingredients or lighter packaging), or that an item is locally produced. The package design is your customer's window to the product! Differences between various members of a product line also must be clear and prominent.

A package design must also make an emotional connection with the buyer. This make be about a mood, a value, a price, a whim, or trust in the company that makes the product. My job as a graphic designer is to work with you to develop the appropriate packaging that can make the right connections with the buyer.

Aurelian Design can also help with designs for labels, designs for trade shows, conventions, weddings and other events, and designs for web banners, buttons and other graphic elements.
